I have had issues with some random shutdowns for a few days until today, when in the middle of doing work in Autodesk Inventor 2013 my laptop shut off and won't power on.

The power light blinks once when only the AC adapter is in, only the battery and when both are in.

I heard what is only best described as an electronic "clicking" sound coming from inside the laptop when I pressed the power button.

I pulled the motherboard out of the shell and the "clicking" is coming from either the CPU or the GPU.

Is anyone able to shine any light on which one it could be?

    EDIT - fixed.

What did you do to get it working properly?
