    Hi,

I received my Studio 1558 with 1080p screen the other day.

Very happy with it but am wondering why i can only seem to choose either a full resolution of 1920 x 1080 or one much lower e.g. 1280 x 1024 with no interim options.

Any way round this at all?

    Which driver sare you using?

I find the text quite small and when i enlarge the text only via Display settings sometimes it leads to poortly formatted web pages etc.

I have the same issue on my XPS 16 and have found no good work arounds. Scaling only works well for some programs as does zooming. It tends to distort and make some program fonts fuzzy. I find myself swapping settings more than I'd like. Dropping the display to a lower resolution also seems to make things a bit less than stellar in some cases.

I have chosen to go with a lower resolution on another system I am ordering due to this. Hopefully, I will be happy with what I get.

My laptop is really a desktop replacement ... I purchased a $120 21.5 1080P monitor at the same time I ordered the laptop. This way I can keep the font at 100% without zoom and the like. When I am actually mobile with it, the font does not bother me too much for the short term. Anyway ... getting a larger separate monitor may be an option ... just thought I would throw that idea out there ...
