    I just ordered a tangerine Studio today. I was wondering how quickly they are usually shipped out? Since I ordered it on Friday, will they most likely not start on it until Monday? I know a few years ago I got my daughter a laptop, and it seemed like it arrived well befor ethe due date. It was a pleasant surprise. I am hoping that the same happens here. I think they have the ship date as 7/28/08.

    If the build quality of the Studio 15 is anything to go by I would cancel that order. If you still want a Dell I recommend specing up an Inspiron 1720. Trust me on this…..it’s a much better constructed machine.

    redshovel, I'm sorry you had a bad experience but stop copy/pasting this on every Studio 15 thread. My friend ordered a Studio 15 (I got the 17) and his looks nice, was built well, and has no problems. (We're in the USA though, and most of the problems I've seen on here have been from UK users)

    I hope you get your problems worked out redshovel, and congrats bbflabradors on your purchase (mine arrived a long time before the estimated ship date).

    I ordered mine on July 11th and god an ETD for August 4th. However today (20th) the status has changed to "Delivery prep", so I'm guessing that I will get it on Wednesday or Thursday perhaps?

    I got mine from staples in the US and it is the very basic model - no fingerprint reader, no backlit keyboard, no bluetooth - and it still seems to be solid (im no expert). Much much nicer than my old inspiron.
