    Hi

Title pretty much says it all.
I'm thinking of buying one for someone who would need the extra security of raid one.

Hence I was wondering is it possible to buy one with two hdd's and change the settings to run it in raid 1 (parity) ?

As far as I can see the two hdd's are normally running in raid 0, so there must be a raid controller, either software or hardware.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

    If the BIOS allows it.

There are no options for raid configuration in the Studio 1735 bios (at least not in the current version).
You could run a software raid under Vista though....

however, running raid 0 on a home machine (especially a laptop) in real-world scenarios will show only minor performance improvements; if any at all.

It's just not worth the trouble.
