    Hi Everyone,

I just got my Studio 17, and there's little things that really bother me:

    1) My F keys act as a function+F in games and not the actual F key, so I can't cast spells that are bound to my F keys. Anyone know how to disable it so that if I want to see my battery status or Wifi status, it requires the function key to be held down?

    2) Some of the games I play such as warcraft 3 have 2 black lines on the right/left of my screen. They won't let me go full screen no matter what I try. Any ideas on what to do?

    Thanks :)

Regarding 1) - I understand you can change a setting in the BIOS for the F keys to have their primary (non Fn) function. See the user's manual. Might also be more details in the 1747/9 formum

No idea re 2) but might have something to do with resolution options in the game? At a guess look for options to use native screen res - is this 1080p or 900p?

hi, i play wc3 so i know what ur talking about.
its happening because we have widescreen laptops the wc3 is a old game with no resolution support for it. i googled it and found a solution:

    START > run > regedit

While in the Windows Registry Editor (regedit), locate:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Blizzard Entertainment > Warcraft III > Video

Make below change in decimal format:
(Right click > Change > select "decimal" > fill in new value)
resheight = 1366 <--- depends on ur mative res
reswidth = 768 <--- depends on ur mative res

btw what server are u on?

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    1. I'll dig a little more for the FN key thing

    2. Ah, okay. I'm at 900p / Azeroth US East-Server, i play occasional Enfo's, but have been hooked on the new battlefield lately :)
