    What is the difference between the 6-cell and 9-cell batteries in terms of physical dimensions ?

    Does the 9-cell protrude from the case in some way that the 6-cell doesn't ?

    I read someone say something about the 9-cell upsets the viewing angle ????


    Anyone have comparison pics of the two batteries in place on a Studio 17 ?

    The 9-Cell will protrude from the case downward such that the chassis of the machine will slant downwards toward you. It shouldn't affect viewing angles since you can adjust your screen to compensate for the extra slant.

    How is the battery life on your laptop?

    i have been reading crappy 85 Whr reviews and I believe that is the 9-cell [or 12-cell?] that is also in Studio 17.

    The 85WHr battery is the 9-cell battery. I don't think there's a 12-cell battery for the Studio 17 (as it's not mentioned in the manual), but I may be wrong about that...
