when i received the Studio 17, i slapped on an existing 80GB 7200rpm HDD in there so that if i need to return it, the process seemed easier, just swap drives and get RMA...

now i've decided on keeping it... grown quite fond of it...

got clean install Vista Ultimate 32 bit (did not have the need for 64 bit yet...) and all runs fine...

now that my 2nd HDD cradle has finally arrived, i'm thinking of slapping in the original HDD in there to use as storage drive...

so, do i need to keep anything from there or can i just delete and wipe out all the crap in there?

As long as your have your OS CD and Media Direct if you want to use it, then you can wipe it clean. All the drivers will be available on Dell's website.
