I'm trying to use my Toshiba 19lv505 HDTV as a second monitor, but I can't get it to display anything. I checked the HDMI cable with my xbox 360 and it works great with the tv, so it has to be an issue with my laptop.

I have the latest ATI display drivers installed; the tv supports 720p and should be able to handle the input. I have tried all possible resolution settings and numerous other settings.

The HDMI cable doesn't appear to go in all the way on my laptop. I'm not sure if this is common?

    Thanks in advance

I tested it on another hdtv and it worked fine, so I know the HDMI port on my laptop works.

Were you able to resolve this issue? I have the same Toshibal HDTV model you mention and also trying to use HDMI display from an ATI video card. If you were able to get it to work can you please share the solution? Thanks
