I've been having this issue for about a week or so. I thought perhaps it was because I updated the ATI driver, but I did a rollback and the issue still persists. I have checked my battery settings and nothing stands out. I don't have my laptop set to go to sleep under any circumstances other then closing the lid, but during operation it will just go to sleep. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. When it goes to sleep, sometimes the power button is unresponsive in waking the computer back up. It will take quite a while before I am able to do anything to get the computer back up and running. It just went to sleep in the middle of me making this post =__=;.

Nevermind. Dell just accessed my computer. Everything is 'perfectly fine' and there are no issues...except somehow my harddrive was set to turn off (by some update according to Dell). Now that it's been changed, hopefully the issues will stop. We'll see...

Hmm, didn't work. My system just went to sleep. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to get into Windows 7 power options in the control panel.Windows 7 sees your computer as a notebook and sets its own power and sleep mode setting.

Adjust all those to your liking and you should be fine.

I did that quite a while ago. My system is set to go to sleep only when I close the lid.
