Ok so every now and then I notice some weird static on my Studio 1737's RGB LED, when its displaying very fine lines, not always and its hard to recreate.

Since DELL now has removed the RGB LED option for the Studio 17 line will that make a replacement or fix easier or harder.

Of course they usually go with a "comprable system" if they can not fix or replace the 17" RGB LED screen.

now, they could offer me a Studio 16 XPS because it does have the 1080p RGB LED screen but its an inch smaller than what I have.

or a other 17 inch laptop, an m17x which would match the screen size but lacks the RGB LED screen.

Any advice, what are the options, I am guessing they have a source for replacement 17 RGB LED's displays.

But if they don't what then?

never mind disregard, I see that Dell's workstations have the 17" RGB LED option so its most likely the same panel

Most likely they will offer you a 17" workstation-grade laptop like a Vostro. The Studio XPS 16 is less likely, and the M17X...well, keep dreaming. :p

Well yeah thanks for the reply, I just thought they may be in a tough spot because they could likely be out of 17 inch RGB LED displays.

As long is its 17" RGB LED and has a back lit keyboard, the specs and form factor I am flexible about.

But I would stick to my options

    17" RGB LED
    Web Cam
    Finger Print Reader
    Backlit Keyboard

they can't just say heres a replacement with 17" RGB LED it is comprable trust us but its missing, WebCam, Backlit Keyboard etc.

Even if they try and sneak in a faster P series Core 2 Duo with 3MB cache, I would stick with a T series Core 2 Duo with 6MB cache, which is what I have.

I did not see the Vostro line with RGB LED displays but the M6400, and workstations do.
