I just noticed that this month. A lot of laptops get the "Recommended" status. But only one laptop this month received the "Best Buy" status. Your beloved Dell Studio 17.
-
Does that mean it is a better buy or did they just want a change of words?
-
???
"Best buy" is like "Editor's Choice." -
I like mine bought at the beginning of the year. No problems or issues.

I can firmly say that The studio 17 is rock solid from all the reviews i have read
-
I have also heard nothing but good things about the Studio 17 series. I'm not sure how it managed to dodge every single issue so common with the Studio 15's, considering they use most of the same parts, but hey, who's complaining?
-
except the video card
But yes
it is very strange because they must be the same model just different display; Anyway I'm student and 15' 1440x900 inches is better for me -
DDR3 RAM and a Graphics card with 512MB DDR3 RAM would make it a dream machine
-
i have consistent problems with my touchpad and media buttons!! think it's a hardware issue.
i can see why it would be given best buy though as i love mine, screen is tasty so much space and the keyboard is really nice to type with long documents, not v.tiring for the fingers unlike some. all in all, very nicely put together and for its size remains light enough to carry in backpack without too much thought [although I am a weightlifter]
