This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     recently did a clean install of windows vista. all went well, speakers worked, ventrilo worked, skype worked.

    but now, it seems that, all of a sudden, my headset mic is not recognized on vent nor skype.

    checked settings, all seems proper... but i have no clue what is causing these issues.

    i did windows vista updates... thought this may have been an issue because it was the last things i've done before all i went "silent" and so did a system restore... still no good.

    any/all help will be greatly appreciated.
