I took apart my old Dell Studio 17 to replace the fan. I am trying to reassemble but cannot get the mb ribbon cables attached. I pried a plastic wedge piece out to remove them and thought they would just wedge back in. I can't seem to see how they work, or go back together. Maybe I was not supposed to remove the plastic wedge. Were they supposed to flip or something. Hopefully someone has experience with this type of connector.

    Cheers and Thanks

Can you take a picture? Nothing should actually supposed to come "off" the connectors...

Yes I see that now, literally, I put on another pair of glasses and figured it out, I had pried off the hinge clip... I'm an idiot! I put the hinge clips back and have successfully put the laptop back together. Thanks for responding.
