I've been trying to play WoW on my new Studio 1735, but I'm having issues with the Keyboard. If I, for example, press the "S" key, hold it and hit the "A" key next (do this very fast a couple of times) the keys will get stuck and I see my character going left all the time until I hit the "A" key once more.

This also happens with any of the directonial keys.

Is anyone else having this problem here? I've been browing the Dell Comunity forums and I'm not alone with this one. I've seen this "bug" reported on Windows XP/Vista and even Linux systems, so I'm guessing it's a BIOS issue.

I haven't found a solution yet, so if anyone has one, pls let me know.
I'm allready running the latest A04 Bios.

Have you tried Dell's tech support? I recently had some problems with unresponsive media buttons and broken fingerprint reader. After the person installed and uninstalled things, and they still didn't work, they sent someone to fix it with new parts. Working great since.

I'm having exactly this same issue with my Dell studio 15 keyboard when playing WoW. Just curious, did you find a solution to this problem?

    THE SAME PROBLEM HERE:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=310037

    Quick fix:
After quick and fast research I found quick fix and many users reported it works:
    "Alright, I found the problem.

There are 2, actually. First, disable stick keys (uncheck all the boxes) . Secondly, make sure the Num Lock key is turned on. Works perfectly now. " from WOW Board

    From another thread here:

I'm happy to be here, because everyday I learn something useful and new about my Studio :)
    Thank you notebookreview!!!

I used to have the stuck WASD keys all the time, which was a royal pain when playing Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead...

And just turning Num Lock on fixed it for me. I haven't had an issue in months. :p You don't have a defective keyboard. Don't return anything, just turn on Num Lock!

vista has a feature: "key filter", it will ignore keys if being pressed rapidly in less than 0.5 second.

That has nothing to do with it. As we just pointed out, the stuck keys was being caused by Num Lock not being on. I'm not sure why, but enabling Num Lock has entirely fixed the problem for me.

Just activate the "num lock" key. That's the way to prevent this.

I don't think I've ever changed it in the BIOS. I just hit the "Num Lk" key on the keyboard, and that's that. Windows seems to remember that I turned it on, so it's on as soon as I boot by default.
