Would anyone here know if the Studio 1737 has an option in the BIOS to disable LCD panel expansion? I'm looking to get one but if it has this option then I think that'll seal the deal.

I don't have the 1737, but I'll assume it isn't much different than the 1535 (as long as it has the ATI card)...

It doesn't have it in the BIOS, but it does have it in the ATI Control Panel.

What do you mean by LCD expansion? I have never heard anything by that phrase before.

LCD Panel Expansion - it was in the BIOS of the Inspiron 6000 and 6400 among many others. When enabled, it stretches non native resolutions to fill the whole screen, even if the aspect ratio of the source isn't widescreen. When disabled, it centres the image on the screen without any scaling; preserving the aspect ratio - which is what I want. I know the 1735 doesn't have it because I tried one so I'd assume the 1737 doesn't either.
