    According to SpeedFan,

My Studio 1737 is going upto 81C, also it makes sounds like mice ( o_O) (even when the speaker is turned off)

    SpeedFan says:

    HD0: 46C

    Temp1: 76C

    Temp2: 61C

    Temp3: 0C

    Core0: 70C

    Core2: 69C

As for the sound problem, I have no idea whats causing it.

    Could someone please help?

Specs: Dell Studio 1737, Intel Core 2 Duo T6400, 4GB RAM DDR2 (or 3), Windows 7 Ultimate. Will post more detailed specs such as GFX card etc. if needed.

I hope you are not getting those high temperatures when your computer isn't doing much.

Its mainly when I use Java-based applications, or open 4+ Tabs in Firefox...

But before 1 year of using this laptop it worked fine, I don't know whats causing the problem.

You could perhaps try to flush out dust from your laptop's heatsink(s) with a can of compressed air - if you do so, make sure not to tilt the can.
