I'm having some trouble with the headphone jacks in my laptop. Sometimes the sound fades out very low, or into only one channel, as though the though the plug has slipped out or is loose, but it's fully, securely inserted. I can move very slightly and the sound will flicker; I can push down gently on the plug and the sound will come back in. It's the same with both jacks.

Is anyone else having this issue? I don't think it's my headphones because they work fine with my iPod. Should I crack open my computer and see if it's loose or something?

You should call Dell and have them look at it.
