We ordered our 1737 last month and it was great for the first 4 days. Then suddenly vertical lines appeared up and down the screen everywhere. Oddly, on white backgrounds you cant even see them, but they are even there in the bios and diagnostic screens. We ordered a replacement, however it has even worse issues and the components were different.

    1. Grey graphite w/ trim.
Our replacement unit the palm rest did not come with graphite on the palm rest, it was just plain grey. Not a huge issue but is this maybe the way they are coming now?
The pink trim seemed more orangish also.

    2. Touch Pad
Our replacement did not have the those tiny scroll bars printing on the touch pad, was this bad luck or is this the new way?

    3. Keyboard
Our replacement keyboard seemed cheaper and the keys were not quite the same, we did notice a purple color next to the num lock key instead of white.

    4. Screen
Our replacement seemed very very dim, like it wasn't even an wLED screen - we had them side by side in a white background and it was like night and day difference.

We are going to order another one, but are worried the screen, keyboard, palm rest will be the like last one unless the replacement was made of cheaper parts? Were considering keeping the old one and getting repaired as we are worried a brand new unit will be missing those features. Any advice?

Call them up imediatially. It is imperative that you do or else you will regret it.
