I'm not sure if it's just me, but anyone notice the sound can't be heard in low volume? I can not hear anything(almost and unless I focus) below volume 35. Is this normal? Thx in advance.

I can't hear the system sound below 35. Are you using yours with just IDT or /w x-fi? I wonder if my speakers are dying? :(

Not sure what x-fi or IDT are.

IDT is your standard audio driver and x-fi is the $25 option to boost(hardly or more like none at all) your sound.
After reinstalling IDT(I used my own copy of windows) now I can hear sound from vol. 5 to 15, but still not loud enough, at least compared to my other laptops. How does your speakers sound at 5 - 15? Loud enough? Thanks for replying. :)

Try this: Control panel - Sound - Speakers - Properties - Enhancements - Loudness Equalization

You can also try to change sound quality on advanced tab, 24bit/192000Hz is ok.

What does loudness equalization do? It seems to help a little. I am curious if my speakers are defective? :(

    Edit:

Another problem I found: When my earbuds are plugged I hear some buzz after I unmute the sound. Is this normal also? I am shocked because I've had this laptop for a while and I've noticed these problems only until recently.
