I was just wondering if the remote control comes standard with new studio 15s. I've looked around and it seems like it doesn't, but I never had an option for it. So I just went back to the dell website and tried configuring a new one, and I went through every single option, and the remote still wasn't there, except for the bluetooth, but I want the cheap one :p

Depends on what model you are getting. I dunno if they have started offering the latest 1555 model in the US yet, but in that particular model they removed the facilities for the IR based remote.

One good way to tell is to look at what discreet (ATI) graphics chipset is offered. If it is the HD4570, it's the newer 1555 model. If it's the HD3450 it's the older 1535/1537 model.
