Hello. I was wondering if you could tell me if these specs are good. I want to get what I need.
I would be using this Studio 15 for surfing the web and listening to music off of youtube and Microsoft Home and Student for my last year in high school and 4 years in college. I'm fine with having this laptop for 5 years. And I'm fine with upgrading in a few years. If you have any more questions just ask.
Here are the specs I'm thinking about getting:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5750 (2.00GHz/667Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
Genuine Windows® Vista Home Premium Edition SP1
    Spring Green
Hi Resolution/Bright, glossy widescreen 15.4 WLED display (1440x900)
    Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
    3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
    250GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450
8X Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
Dell Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini-Card (Yes I will have an N router)
    9 Cell Battery
    High Definition Audio 2.0
Microsoft® Office Home and Student 2007 - Word, Excel + PowerPoint
Logitech V450 NANO Cordless Laser Mouse - Spring Green - Designed for Dell
EP-610 Midnight Blue Headphones - Designed for Dell Collection
Pure Digital Technologies Flip Video Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder
    Back-lit Keyboard
    Windows Vista™ Premium
    Intel® Centrino® Processor
    Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 8.1
    Biometric Fingerprint Reader

    Thanks in advance! :D

Based on your listed needs, I'd say this Studio configuration is plenty =) The T5-series processors have been out for a while... if you're looking to use your notebook long-term, I'd go with a T8-series processor or higher b/c technology does advance pretty quickly.. but that's just my perspective.

I don't really know what the processors are. But I am planning on using this laptop for about 5 years. Whats the difference between the T5 and the T8?

9 cell is way overpriced if its still over 75 bucks(which is still way high). Upgrade the processor instead IMO.

Will the 6 cell last long enough for a few classes in school?

As long as you aren't running heavy modelling programs for the classes, you should be fine. If you are, it should last at least one class period.

I'm going for business so I don't think there will be programs. But I'm a planner.

"The 6-cell lithium-ion battery provides reasonable battery life for the Studio 15. With Vista's power management running in "balanced" mode, screen brightness set to 50 percent and wireless on, the 6-cell battery delivered roughly 3 hours and 41 minutes of battery life."

Quoted from the Studio 15 review. That is not with the LED screen so you can probably throw on another 15+ minutes.
