Hey guys, I have a pressing issue that I would like your input on.
I ordered my Studio XPS 16 on April 9th and it was supposed to ship today and arrive on May 6th at the latest. I checked back today and now the new estimated delivery date is May 12th. Unfortunately I leave the country on business for a very long time on May 6th, so getting the laptop after that is useless to me.

Is there anyone I can contact or anything I can say to dell that will get me my laptop on time, on the original delivery date, or at least change the shipping to overnight? I tried calling them but they were being all y and giving me standard answers that seemed like they were reading off an FAQ sheet. The person I talked to said she couldn't do anything. Or maybe I could give them my international address to ship it to? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

No, unfortunately you can't get them to do anything unless you talk to the higher ups (not even the manager might be willing to do anything). I encountered this problem when I ordered my XPS M1530 last year, and they failed to deliver it on time and refused to offer any compensation, so I cancelled the order. I am sure you can talk to Dell about your international address to see what they say. I don't know what to tell you except I feel bad for you. If worst comes to worst, just cancel the order and buy one off the shelf at a local retailer either here or over there while you are on business.

Or cancel the order and buy one from Dell Outlet. They are already pre-built, so all you need to do is spend some time looking for a configuration that you will be happy with and purchase it with a coupon that you will have no problem finding (all over the place). It'll be shipped really quickly, and you will definitely have it before May 6th with time to spare.
