I just got a new Studio 1535, purchased by my boss for work. Overall loving the machine, minus the usual ALPS complaints, but I'm having one nagging keyboard issue that's making things tricky for me.

Seems that I constantly miss the first letter of many words with this keyboard. Now I'm a touch-typist by nature, used to work as a professional transcriber, and half tested as fast as 116wpm (on a very, very good day, and definitely not on a notebook). I know I'm not physically missing the keys, as I auto-correct any mistakes that were actually my own without having to think about it. This is definitely some sort of issue with the actual keyboard.

Since it's only the first letter of words (and doesn't seem to have a definite pattern), I'm guessing that somehow the space key is overriding any further input for some fraction of a second, and if I type fast enough I'm hitting the next key within that window of time.

Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone have an idea what could cause this? It's driving me nuts, as I'm having to correct a lot more mistakes than I normally would, and it's slower to do so since my brain isn't recognizing the mistakes automatically, so I have to more actively review what's appearing on the screen to notice and correct the errors. A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot, I also have a problem with the T key suddenly losing all function in certain applications until they're restarted. I've had it happen so far in Firefox and in notepad, randomly. All I have to do is restart the app (opening a second notepad window even worked, while the other still didn't) and it works again. But until I do, no T key.
