Has anyone here managed to get Dell to install Windows Vista Home Premium on a Vostro (or more specifically a 1500) instead of the Windows Business.
If so, how did you do it, was it worth it, hard/easy to negotiate, affect the price at all?
Cheers guys,

umm just ask. they may even give you money back if you got it with business. imo, there is nothing in it i would need or want. i like business better.

Many have asked for the reinstall OS DVD and got the premium instead of the basic one.
You can use that to install the Premium. So you can ask for the OS DVD

When i asked for Vista Home Premium instead of Business there was no "resisitance" by the dell reps and at all the conversations they offered it happily without me having to try and convince them to give it. They may only make it hard when trying to get XP or Vista Home Basic instead.

Is there a possible way to ask online, or do I have to ring?

Ring only. I prefer to ring as i manged to get £80 ($160) off my order by just saying the price isnt in my budget and that its too high etc.
