Last week I asked to speak to a manager at the call centre after being told my order would be delayed for another 33 days. I got his number but he was never available on the phone. I was only able to speak with him in the chat. He re-ordered my order after my last one was screwed up (the whole Canada order system thing) but ordered it wrong. He then told me to phone my original rep and get it sorted out and gave me his (the manager's) email address, saying to email him at any time and that he'll provide me with daily status updates (what actually changes daily?). I phoned the sales rep and got it sorted out.
The next day, I read that more people were getting their orders moving towards shipping or that their estimated dates were moving up or were half of mine, so I fired off an email to the manager (who hadn't sent me his promised daily update) to ask if maybe mine was going to change too.
I later got a phone call from my sales rep telling me to stop contacting Dell because I was just confusing people, etc. ???
So I sent another email a couple days ago to the manager (still no daily updates) telling him about this and asking him if there was an update on my order, referncing the latest from direct2dell.com. I've heard nothing.
I really don't think I've done anything to warrant this treatment. I know it could be said that I'm being impatient but the only time I contact them is to get new information they have that they didn't bother sending to me (I had to originally email my rep to even get my order number!!!). It's been endless bad communication from these people.
So does anyone know a better place to contact? I get rude and unhelpful service from the call centre. I know that if I phone them, they will refuse to speak with me unless I speak with my rep, who is extremely unhelpful.

Call corporate !!
-
First of all HCW if you use the word 'corporate' again Im gonna puke. Wait... I read 3 times today where you tell people to call corporate
Pass on the info if you have it!!! Put up or shut up.
Secondly, with all your corporate contacts how did you ONLY get a few hundred off after cancelling the order and through AMEX... Again put up or shut up.
From here on in, I commit to continuously calling you on pretentious and falsely stated info.
Now Matt... Your from Canada so...do this. Write out a quick letter and send it both by way of email and hard copy to Dell CS. There is a reason for this. First, letters that are received hard copy get routed differently and you will like the result; trust me.
My guess is that about 3 days after receipt you get a call from someone very well connected.
No promises.just relating what usually occurs.
And....HCW....love trolling you man. Your like the guy thats been everywhere, done everything, knows everyone yet...has nothing. -
Amex deal I got total after Taxes $1,136
That's about $1000 off what you would have paid . 4 years complete care included / Tibuk bag and loaded.
Once again thanks for playing troll boy and have a great day
Go Call corporate !!!!! More trickle effect this week -
Not so much of a trickle effect...but the levy has broken.
Just judging by the amount of people going into shipping. -
Just wait untill the end of next week that number should tripple. -
Ummm you say 1136 at 1000 off??? You must have forgot the true price you posted just after you got it. I will post it to refresh you as to what you got...

and $150 bag
$1502 total
Thats 1502 not 1136...500 off not 1000. (and apparently thats your before tax quote i just found out.)
You need to look at your own posts before you get caught any further I think. -
i think he is saying he placed 2 orders, one for $1502 and the other for $1136
-
This was his latest according to the site. He cancelled the first order for the Amex deal. Did you cancel yet again HCW??
Nope.... The Amex deal he got I posted. It was his post. His quote above says the amount for tha Amex deal is 1136, not 1500 plus as his original quote that he bragged about said.
Only one Amex order.
Heeeeee stepped in it again.
And its 3 year complete care...Read the specs. -
Did you eat paint chips when you were a child or are you just a moron ? That $1502 order I got down to $1136 total . Once again thanks for playing and happy trolling.
It's 4 years now cause I got 1 more year added and then amex gives you one year for free so cause you are challeged when it comes to numbers that = 5 years warranty . -
-
Sounds like a personal problem that Flame aka Lester hasGood thing they make depends
-
Let me help you there young guy...
First read your contract... you have initial year plus 2 extended and complete care added...which equals 3 years total. If Amex adds another onto that its 4.
Secondly, you never got that order down any further than you first said or your eta date would have changed...Try bsing someone else.
Dont need to flame you. your one of those people that just makes themselves look bad. Oh and why did they yell you out of SlickDeals??? Got that story too.
Lets hear your version though...Im real interested...
There just may be someone you know real well from Slickdeals ready to jump in.
And...I know your not here to make friends, but just shut me up by telling the truth or giving credible advise for once.
You keep telling everyone to call corporate yet you shut up when someone asks the number... -
I have 4 years complete care + 1 more year complete care for a total of 5. Why do you even want to argue this ? is that all you can come up with lister ? Have a good night
I have told you 20 times to google the number and I have helped 2 members today get credits of $250+ each -
Obviously you havent looked at your contract so put your glasses on for this:
1 960-9188 CompleteCare Accidental DamageProtection, Inspiron, 3 Year $0.00
Dell doesnt offer four year; it would be nice though.
I almost feel bad...such an easy target but...I just dont think you remember what you write; thats why Im hear. -

Ill just chime in here to say that the 3 or 4 was available when i purchased my system. I would like to know how you got them to bump it up to 4 year from 3 tho. Please do let me know, you can msg me on aim. Would be appreciated
-
Just be creative . I am getting lots of PM's about this and to be honest I don't want to give away my tricks away cause they work almost everytime I call . I hope that you understand.
-
Ah i've been creative, I have talked to numerous supervisors and even a Escalations Rep(a supervisors supervisor), and they aren't very flexible... at all.. But if you don't want to help out thats fine...
-
Well you could prove you are telling the truth by giving me the number for corporate and details on how I can get free stuff for the call centres jerking me around.
-
Google it and you will find the number in 5 seconds -
AFAIK there isnt a number for corprate, you just tell the supervisor you talk to if you aren't satistfied with what they say that you want you case escalated.
-
Actually there are a couple of numbers for corporate . Come on people !!!!
-
Maybe try this as well? I got the link off Direct2Dell's site...
https://support.dell.com/support/to...re/en/outstanding_issues_care?c=us&l=en&s=gen
From what i've read its basically the same as having your case escalated to someone higher over the phone. You should recieve a response from someone with higher authority then a rep or supervisor within 24 hours. -
HCW, I wonder if you annoyed someone or even pissed them off somehow.
This is a great opportunity to test those corporate guys of yours.
One thing you cant change is the truth right? -
Flame did you read post #16 ? Have a good night
-
I googled dell corp. and cant find anything... Can you help me?
-
-
Google provided me with this -
Dell Corporate Support Number: (800)234-1490 - You can save time by choosing option 1 and entering an extension number* (see below)
*Extension Numbers for Dell - Optiplex - 69077, Dimension - 69079, Laptops - 69080, Servers - 67304, Workstations - 69222
Anyone wanna give it a go (seen as I'm in the UK)?
Don't let that spoil the fun though -
-
-
then there corporate office is smart then, proly changed there number because too many people called them whining
-
When a corporate number gets posted on a site like this they have it turned off
-
But if that is true, then stop telling people to call Corporate. If you can give a number, then pipe down (put up or shut up).
Maybe it would be more reasonable to suggest for people to write to corporate. An address can't be that confidential, right? -
It's in the white pages. Stop being so lazy !!!!
-
So you don't have the number?
-
Why do you even let him get to you???
Here is a guy who ordered a system with little if any deal, then had corporate contacts, then cancelled and ordered again apparently then posted that he paid two different prices for it and stated in one that he got a 500 discount then in another it was a grand.
Hes the guy who stated there was no LED delay just before every info surface pertaining to PCs posted thats its true and its a world wide issue.
Hes the guy who stated that he helped two people get breaks only to have one write back and state he, never, in fact helped at all.
Corporate contacts??? Has anyone gained anything through his corporate contacts.
Hes a peon who has less info than a Dell CS Rep...He must have been turned down for the job...
Once a day jab...but moderators...look...he enflames everyone. He makes me smile personally.
Anyone wanna chat...ok Forrrest... "Jenny, Im not a smart man"
Oh and try and get him to tell why they threw his sorry @#$ off of Slickdeals.net. This is laughable... -
I just want him to put up and shut up. If he doesn't do that, then adds absolutely nothing to the thread when he screams "Call Corporate!"
-
Don't you hate those trolls who can't call corporate complain and crap about you. I wonder how that canadian troll feels now on the price you paid for your xps m1330. LOL. -
Sounds like Lester is just jelouse or needs to learn how to read cause I never canceled any of my orders and they are now both in the boxing stage even the one I placed 1 week ago .
Two people on this forum have received $250 credit and $300 credits from me giving them the corporate number
And this is the same guy who said that there was no such thing as 4 year complete care .
Be an adult for once in your life and admit that you are wrong Flamenko/ Lester -
Exactly my point. I used your technique and instead called a dell csr and got transferred to a dell supervisor and complained about my free messenger bag and got them to issue me a $150.00 credit to my original form of payment. It is not as good as the $250.00 or $300.00 credit but it's better then getting nothing and crapping people. -
What's the number to Dell Corporate?
-
-
-
Why can you not post it on this forum? Others have posted the order inquiry number.
-
I called 1-800-456-3355 and asked for a dell csr supervisor.
-
good enough for me. Thanks.
-
No problem please rep me if it helps. LOL
-
-
Suggestions on who to contact? Call centre is useless.
