When I ordered my Vostro 1500 on 12/12 I never expected it to arrive any time before Christmas due to all the negative feedback I was recieving about Dell and there not so punctual services. However, when the package was sent out on the 17th I got my hopes up. I spent probably two of the longest days of my life constantly checking the tracking info and went to sleep last night hoping for a miracle and what to my wondering eyes did appear.....a notice explaining how retarded I was for sleeping through the delivery :( Thats right, my pc got delivered a day early and I wasn't there to reap the reward....anyway I guess the point is that Dell isnt completely incompetant and deserves some praise :)

P.S. This could all change when I get the pc and I discover that something is horrribly wron (cross your fingers)

I am surprised at all the trouble that people have had with the wait times for Dell. That sucks!

I guess I have been lucky with Dell. All my systems have come before the expected ship time. A year and half ago, I got my Inspiron 1505 a couple days before I expected. And, my XPS m1330 came 5 days before it was supposed. I have also ordered a few desktop systems and they come before the actual delivery date.

I wonder why there is such a discrepancy among ship dates for different people?!
