My new M1330 is getting returned to Dell (bad motherboard) and it's being replaced with a new, identical system since I'm still within the 21 day return period. Customer Service said I can swap the hard drives when I get the new replacement so my question is...Do I need to boot up the new replacement system first before I swap the drives? Or, should I swap the drive and then do the initial boot? I'm not sure if it makes any difference. I'm hoping that by swapping the drives I'll have my settings, programs, etc. all set without any additional configurations necessary to the new system.

    Thanks for any advice!

That's great! Sure will make things a lot easier if all I have to do is swap them out.

    Thanks...
