    Hi,
I tried installing the logitech quickcam driver for my webcam on my Dell E1405 (reinstalled OS, everything running fine). Suddenly when the system rebooted, I saw that the Synaptics mouse driver was behaving wierd...there was no support anymore for touchpad scrolling. When i clicked and opened the synaptics program, it doesnt show those tabs at all, which have options for scrolling, edge motion, etc... it just has pointer, hardware tabs!

I did a system restore and everything started working normally again (although no quickcam driver). So is there a compatibility issue between these drivers? And why does the install affect only the scroll feature of Synaptics? any ideas?

You might try installing your webcam drivers first, and then installing your touchpad drivers. I don't know of any issues, but there might be.
