Anyone had this problem? Basically, it's happening on a regular basis for me. It happened occasionally to begin with and now it seems to happen every day. I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue in fact. I've installed and reinstalled the latest driver but it doesn't help. Running Vista Business too which is pretty much up-to-date.

Guess I'll be making a call to XPS Support soon but if anyone's had this problem and solved it I'd appreciate hearing from you.

    Cheers,

I would just disable it all together.. as it isn't necessary to have on to use the touchpad anyway.

    Hi Steve,

Sorry, don't follow. Had a look and can't see anywhere to disable the enhancements whatever they are. When they fail, I lose all scrolling functionality on the touch pad and I haven't figured out a way to restart it without rebooting.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm beginning to think that it's down to a USB hardware problem. I'm having problems with the trackpad and also the internal HSDPA modem. I've also noticed a bit of flakiness on the graphics side of things. Wondering if it's a motherboard issue?

    Cheers,

    Hello,

I have the same problem with my Acer notebook.
Usually I'm killing SynTPEnh.exe task and run again. This helps to get back scrolling functionality.

I had this problem for ages! So annoying. I think this may have fixed it though: When you click for more details on the message box for the error it should bring up something like SynTPEnh.exe If you run this in a computer search of everything it should find it. I just clicked on it and the scroll down worked again.

Hope it keeps working though- I couldn't live without my scroll down button :)
