This is the beginning of the third day that my system's order status is in the "In Testing" phase when I call Dell's automated order status line. I did a google search about it and I did find one guy that said the "In Testing"phase can take a day or more but by tonight it will be 36 hours if nothing changes. Also the estimated shipping date was Feb 5th and I have not received it so it's not like the order status is behind real time.
Would you give it some more time to see what happens?

If it goes all of today in testing still then I would certainly call. If it has been in testing this long it means that something wasn't right and they had to go and diagnose and fix the issue.

This is usually because the have found errors with the system, and are repairing it, then re-testing, before they send it out to you.

    rofl!
I cant think of any other reason for testing to take 3 days.
TBH if I were you I would ring them and enquire...

Well the only reason I'll wait is because maybe (just maybe) if Penryn comes out before it's shipped I can get it upgraded. You know, for my time and anxiety!

In case it just sits in the In Testing stage until Monday, which Penryn processor is the equivalent of the Santa Rosa T7500 2.2GHz? I wouldn't want to spend more so I guess I would need to know which Penryn is closest to what I ordered.

Not going to happen, so don't waste any more of your precious time, or become any more anxious.
