    HELP!
Sister's new Dell (off the shelf from Best Buy, not direct from Dell) running Vista. Pressing the letter "t" may (or may not!) at any time cause the folling to occur:

Close current or multiple and/or open new Browsing Tab (happens in multiple browsers),
Opens new and/or closes current window,
Italicize, bold, underline, or otherwise change the current text while typing,
    Run new, unrelated program.
Many other, Crazy and Unexplainable things.

    For Instance:
I'm typing in an e-mail, and after typing numerous words including the letter "T", suddenly typing a "T" will close the current tab, open three more, open Microsoft Word, and lo and behold there is document1.doc, with a single word (not a word I've even typed, mind you, maybe the word is cherries, and I was typing an e-mail debating the existence of time as a fourth dimension: no cherries) and the last few letters of the word I was typing appear in the word doc (following cherries), only they are bold, italic and in 34 pt. Park Avenue Font.

    Get the idea?

The problem occurs in any and all programs, not only browsing or online.
Seems to occur more frequently while browsing, but hard to tell.
Off and on occurances, no patterns i can tell.

I've found ONE person with this problem, but with no solution. Very little downtime is important for this machine, I'm trying to avoid wiping the HD and installing XP. And help is greatly appreciated!

This happens when you enable stickykeys. The solution is pressing ctrl+Alt together, or just press any two keys together and it will be turned off. You can change the settings in control panel under accessibility options.

    To check:
Just press e when on the desktop window if explorer opens up that means the stickykeys are on.
