Dell offers a choice on processor. Should I get the T2400 for $60 more. What does the E in T2300E mean?

The Es lack support for virtualization technology something you are unlikely to use. I always say upgrade the hard drive and memory first as most people never push their CPU and the performance difference within a CPU class is very small.

yup-its not a big deal, if you dont know wat it means then your never going to use it, solike Zaz said, go for a bigger/faster HD and or RAM before you upgrade the CPU

ZaZ said it - no virtulization on the T2300E. I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah, at least 85% of the people who made the big fuss about getting an e unawares would never have known if they hadnt read it somewhere, then felt like they got ripped off, to the average user, its a useless feature
