I quickly bashed out my Dell order and plumped for the former. Now want to kinda verify I made the right choice! I already bust my 600 notes budget by 100 getting this... does the T7500 really offer much more over the T7250?

I remember reading on benchmarking sites when c2d first came out, they said that the 4mb cache really comes into its own for media heavy processing rather than gameage. Does this still ring true?

faster processor is still better but you wont die if you take the t7250... cache wont do much difference... except if you do heavy processing task like encoding video or stuff... for gaming the gpu do the biggest part of the job

    Hey,

Biggest difference is the 4mb cache. The improvement in performance atm can vary from 1% to 10% wich is very application dependent. This means that u can get a 1% improvement in a program and 10% in another. Due to the application dependancy it's not to tell how it will work for u and how it will be in the future. There will be 8mb cache and 16mb cache. So when u plan on upgrading the cpu every year there is no need getting a 4mb cache cpu atm but if u plan on using it for 3-4 years wich u might because we are talking about notebooks u might want to spent that extra buck on it.
