    T7500 underclocking to 1.6GHZ why so high

    in the bios i said by 50% so why isnt it at 1.1 when using the power saving profile.

    I have even made sure that vista caps it to 50% of the max speed.

    Help plz btw A06 bios and A04 mobo

    Not 100% sure, but i believe that is the lowest stepping that processor can go. For example my 1.6ghz processor's lowest state is 1.2ghz. It can not go any lower.

    BTW, not that it really matters, but you say what bios you have but not what laptop.

    T7500 2.2Ghz in M1330 (which is what I have) should go all the way down to 6.0x multiplier at 1.2 GHz.

    I'm running 6.0x/1.2Ghz at 1.0V and 11x/2.2Ghz at 1.012V (Rightmark CPU Clock Util + Overnight stress testing with Orthos). Keeps the temps nice and low. :)
