So I am wondering if upgrading to a Penryn X9000 will be worth the cost ($500) vs keeping my T7700.

I use my 1730 for Age of Conan, and was wondering what I would gain from this upgrade.

My other option is to upgrade my 8700mGT cards to the dual 8800mGTX ($695 from dell spare parts) Want to see which would be money better spent, or if I should bite the bullet and do both??

Also is there a market for a used T7700 and used 8700mGT SLI card?

    Thanks!

For gaming, a better GPU will always make a bigger difference than a better CPU. Your T7700 is no slouch. I'd go for the ultimate graphics deal. If its FPS you're after, that's what you should do. If you were doing rendering, CAD, photo editing, or media encoding, I'd suggest the better CPU.

GPU go for it the 8800 single whold even whoop sli 8700 by a mile. As for CPU I would wait for Montevina to come out,.. then current cpu's prices drop so you may be able to get both in the end.
