    has anybody tried T7800 in 1400? how is its max core temperature?

    200 - 600 mhz ain't gonna do jack of a difference to a machine, just overclock you're CPU and save yourself the $600-$800....

    200MHz wont do much, but 600MHz will! I would get a T7500, 2.2GHz will be enough.

    performance test results turned out to be better than expected in 1400. power efficiency of T7800 is the highest among C2D.
