    I take it, since your asking, that you do want to watch TV on your laptop.

    If your question is about the quality of a TV tuner, they tend to be pretty good now. And they're not too expensive. I'd say they're well worth the money.

    Alternatively, if you wait a while HDTV tuners will be affordable.
