    Okay so I opted not to buy the tv tuner when I configured my studio. but now I want one lol...

    Is it still possible to buy the tv tuner seperate and still be able to record live tv and such?

    I think so. My TV tuner came as an express card. It's not overly impressive. No remote in the box. If I were you I'd buy a separate TV card with a remote control.

    i would look at a USB device that has hardware decoding....

    TV Tuner = instant look at broadcasting stations (check antennaweb.org for stations near you)

    download = slower

    you need both hardware and software to watch digital tv.

    beside that, you can always watch channels that have internet broadcast
