    TV not showing laptop display

    It worked before I reformatted it, so I'm not sure what is causing this. Sound works, but the display won't show like it used to. Am I missing a driver or some kind of program? I tried the F8 button thing and it doesn't work. The display settings on my laptop adjust when plugged into TV, but they aren't the correct ones (I can't seem to make it go any higher). Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    make sure you installed the chipset video driver. also the quickset program. you can get them on support.dell.com
