I Got Complete Care Alonge With My Laptop. I Was Wondering If Anyone Has gotten complete care for 3 years and then broke their computer on purpose after 2 years. Or accidentally drop it or drop it in a pool after that ammoundt of time. Will they just give you a new laptop. Im thinking about doing this when the dual core comes out and then phase out centrino. Please dont give me a bunch of crap about how this is immoral, your post will be wasted.

lmfao, man you people are creative...just read the terms of what damage they cover, and if they replace thing. I stopped reading after the first line where it stated that New York is not cover under they accident plan. Although, if they cant repair it, they give you the same system. So when you think you all cool cause you drowned your 'top, and your expecting some new state of the art laptop, that would kinda suck if you end up getting the outdated sytem....again.

Yeah, they'll give you a new machine, same config as you ordered it, unless they just plain dont have the parts anymore, then they will give you a lil upgrade, like say a faster hard drive if you ordered a 4200rpm and its cheaper to give you a new 5400 or 7200 if they have them, that kinda thing. They'll give you the same machine if they can, if not, you paid for something and they are obligated to hold up their end of the deal.

Also, come on, they can say its immoral if they want. No waste.

We had a 9100 that got upgraded to a 93 because they dont make it anymore... they will replace it with an equal or greater machine in the current lineup.

Phase out Centrino? Intel stopped making the 386 this year. Issues of immorality aside, this is breaking the contract you agreed to, which could turn this into a criminal issue.

At any rate, the likelihood that you will benefit from this is slim.

This has gone on long enough...locking thread.

Questions about committing fraud do not belong on any part of this forum.

We do not condone breaking the law in this manner. Fraud like this raises the cost of goods for everyone else.

Yeah, Dell just like the IRS will audit and investigate specific cases that seem fishy with CompleteCare, it's criminal to lie and to collect on a false insurance claim and the fines and going to jail would be a real bummer. Don't do it.
