Hello everyone. First post, but I've been here for awhileI was on the fence between a vostro 1500 and the m1330. I ordered a Vostro 1500 (cheaper) about two weeks ago, T7500, wsxga+, 2 gigs ram, 160 gb 5400, 8400 gs, 6 cell, vista business, bluetooth, 1 year mail in service, and 4965 n card for 1198 before tax. Nice laptop and fast coming from a E1705 with a T2500, but thought it was too heavy. Saw the $799 off deal on the m1330 last night and I decided to return the 1500. Called today and the CSR emailed me the labels to ship back UPS. I ordered the m1330 with T7500, WXGA TL WLED Backlit LCD, 2 gigs ram, 160gb 7200 w/ free fall sensor, 8400 gs, 6 cell, vista home premium, 3 years in home service, 1 year lojack, 15 month norton internet security, and the 4965 wireless card for 1176 before tax(used my work for an additional 8% epp). So I was just wondering what you guys thought. Did I make a good deal?

IMO, the m1330 is better than the Vostro, so good choice!
-
Same price?
-
What kinds(office/browsing/gaming etc) of tasks will you be doing on this notebook?
-
no gaming, just web, email, basic stuff.
-
You shouldn't have paid for Norton IMO, but otherwise, good choice...

Yea you made a good choice, but my personally I don't like the m1330. One plue you made was a A LOT faster HDD

If not for gaming, then made the right decision!

i got a similar deal with the 800 off, i think we made the right choice. my main issue was weight.
