I have installed speedfan and everest ultimate edition on my dell 640m.
I have enabled the dell sensor on speedfan...and i'm getting all sorts of temperatures..which i don't know which one is which.

Everst is giving me some other temperatures...

Anyone has to suggest any good simple program for just monitoring of temps and fans for this notebook?

Mobmeter for sure. Great program, easy to use and very friendly. Also uses very little recources.

Here is a screenshot of both programs

I have no idea what is temp1, dimm, temp4 and gpu. GPU looks like graphics processor unit...but can't believe that my lappy has one like that. The cpu temperature i have renamed it as cpu after comparing with everest which is reporting same temperature and guessed that it should be cpu.

Now everest is reporting only 2 cores temperatures and the main one...

Have no idea where all these temps sensors are coming from...and they are not fixed..they fluctuate...which means are real sensors... :?

I would recommend NOTEBOOK HARDWARE CONTROL. It is great for temperature monitoring and for CPU voltage & multiplier tweaking.

    I have downloaded the I8kfangui

Is reporting same temps as speedfan but...

speefan's GPU temp is I8kfangui's Mem temp

speedfan's DIMM and Temp4 is I8kfangui's GPU and chipset temps and are always the same.

No idea what is temp1. Looks like is reacting or following CPU temperature but not exactly.
