Don't touch it and hope it gets bored and goes home.

Many years ago (12+) I watched a small any go across my screen on the inside and it disappeared, never to be seen again.

    lets see pics!

Alternatively - load up a graphically intense game for a few hours and the termite will probably burn, it's carcus will fade away inside the chasis of your laptop lol.

Nothing to worry about, it will go away on its own. Don't get paranoid and disassemble the display. If it is an external display, disconnect the AC power cord and if it is a notebook display, disconnect both the AC power cord and the battery. This is to prevent any short circuit.

PS: In our Asia office, a print server's power supply had exploded and in the process damaged the rest of the system. A dragon fly had entered the power supply and shorted the circuit. As a result the power supply got set to 110V from the default 220V. Boom!

i have about 11 thrips (thunderbugs we call em) inside my tft screen, theyve been there for about a year now stuck between the glass(plastic?) and the bit behind it. They look like little comma's. Im tempted to open up the screen and see if I can dissasemble the screen enough to able to wipe them.

i highly recommend leaving the computer plugged into the power adapter and urinating on the screen in a uniform manner (to make sure you cover the entire thing). Make the lives of those bugs miserable, and if you get lucky the computer might short out frying them all. take pictures :)
