Ugh this is absolutely terrible! I saw there were a few other people who experienced this. Has anyone called Dell? Can I send my system back to them to get this fixed?

I call dell about the same problem.. and they are sending me a new system. I am crossing my finger that the replacement won't have same problem.. as I don't want to return my notebook and have no computer for a while.

Guys... guys... guys... all you have to do, is just get better headphones!!! I use Seinheiser PC 151's when I listen to music/game and I can not hear that static noise, not unless my volume is jacked all the way up (which is easily avoidable). Please tell me you guys didn't plan on using those crappy Creative earbuds for your music...

That doesn't prove anything. Just depends on the quality of the headphones itself.

no it does not in all cases... people have used senns on 1520 and they still get the noise. i use grado's on the 1520 and i still get the noise.

you just can't make defense over crappy hardware that should not have the issue in the first place.
