You need to turn up your settings man! haha. Theres no point in running a game at 200 fps, the screen can only show a max of 60fps (because it refreshes 60 times a second.)
-Bioshock runs at 1600x900 @ medium settings, 35ish fps and stable.
-Anything on the Source engine runs fantastic at 1600x900 and High or Very High Settings. You can safely turn on all the effects (like HDR or AA, AF)
-Race Driver: Grid, for some reason I can't get the resolution to go to 1600x900, but at 1200-something it runs great, and I get 60fps at medium settings.
-GTR: Evolution at 1600x900, High details, AA Off I get 50fps -
ive played nba 2k9 at 1366x768 and it runs at 60 fps with all the settings on high with the exception of having MSAA and DOF off. my screens 720p so i cant go higher than that resolution.

I have the 256MB version....
GTA 4 runs smoothly at 1280*720 and low-medium settings. Also runs at 1600*900 with a slight drop in frame rate. (using -norestrictions)
Burnout Paradise at 1600*900 and medium to high with very high frame rate. -
Are the frames stable in GTA IV? Or does it stutter horribly?
-
Weird, for me I can only play the game at 640x480, with all the settings set to lowest. I didn't even bother trying the settings higher because it says something like warning 268/256mb of memory used or something, can I go up higher?
T6500 @ 2.15ghz/4gb ddr2 ram/ 256mb 4570/ 720p. -
I have so much to contribute here! WITH SCREENSHOTS! Will do later!!!

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2010 DEMO
1280x720 High Settings (basically maxed out, because that's the highest it'll allow me to go!)
RUNS REALLY WELL. NO ISSUES
Screenshots taken by your truly

hey windows xp is great... eats less ram and clean... google change it as soon as possble
-
That's what I thought as well.. And I was going to switch to XP as well(read my signature).. but I've decided to wait for Windows 7 now and the reason is that Windows 7 has proven to play games as well as XP. So it doesn't matter. Plus XP might eat less RAM, but it won't even consider half a GB of RAM(3.5 instead of 4).
Lets say if its using a GB of RAM right now, I still have 3GB to work with and that too is well sufficient to run anything and everything.
My advice: wait for Windows 7 surely. -
hey... i had installed windows 7 on this machine... it surely works fine... but the prob was with the video dirvers ...... i couldnt find the exact match for the 4570 win 7 had installed drivers for 4550 so there was a lag in performance.. it was consuming about 600+ of ram....
-
Errr... not quite. The 4570 isn't "officially" supported by ANY ATI drivers. The only officially supported drivers are the ones that you can download from Dell. That's because Dell (and most other OEMs) want to have complete control over driver support, so they don't allow ATI or Nvidia to support their own products.
If you're experiencing a lag in performance, its not because of using drivers for a 4550. The 4550 drivers are the same as the drivers for the 4890, or the 4870X2, or the 2400 series, or the 4570.
And what was it exactly that was consuming 600 megs of ram? Because that's nothing when you've got 3-4 gigs to use. -
This doesn't massively suprise me. GTA IV is a terrible console port, and it does rely a fair bit on your CPU also
-
Urbanterror.net plays well on my studio 15, it's free too!
-
It is smooth enough to play. i will try to post the framerates and screenshots when i have the time. -
I'm replaying through Stalker Clear Sky.
It currently runs at 1600 x 900 with static lighting and all textures, grassdensity, etc turned to max. All water looks like mud, many environmental lights are not as bright (which really makes the game ALOT creepier at times), but it does look quite crisp.
Tested Games that run on DELL STUDIO 15 ... pz contribute to this list...
