From what I've read it looks like it normally takes only a couple of hours for the testing stage. My 1400 has been in the testing stage for a day and a half. Is this normal? Could this mean they were testing it to make sure it worked and instead found that they have messed something up and it doesn't work? I am feeling increasingly impatient...
    Any ideas?

Maybe they found something wrong and are working to fix it? I know my Dell only was in testing for about four hours. (according to the automated phone lady)

It should only take a few hours (usually around 3 hours according to a Dell Service Tech on this forum). It is possible that they found something wrong with it or the order system is stuck.

Check again tomorrow... (err ... today). You might see it go through to boxing :).
