The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I only found this forum a few weeks ago after I purchased a Dell E1505 which is a replacement for a Dell 8100 that was 4 1/2 years old. Must say you people rock. Really appreciate all the info on this site. I have learned so much. Wish I had discovered the site before I bought the 1505. Think I would have still bought the 1505 and essentially with the configuration I have but it was nice to verify I did good.

    AGAIN THANK A LOAD AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. YOU ARE HELPING MANY PEOPLE. (nothing intended by the caps other then to highlight the thought)

    Touche. I almost bought a Dell D820, but thanks to this site, I realized that waiting was probably the best idea for me. This site is a wealth of information, and has become one of my most visited sites over the past few weeks. Thanks guys.

    I'd like to also thank everyone here that contributes their time, and effort into making this forum so incredibly useful. I was a new notebook buyer and after coming here I found out so much info it was unreal. I have passed on the coupon info I found here to others I know in the military.

    Later I find out some of them went out and bought a system. So they get a system that they have interest in, and it's cheaper than they expected. All thanks to this great website and it's posters. :)
