I am 95% sure I am going to order a Studio. If I do go with the Studio 17 what specs should I get so this computer lasts me awhile? Do I upgrade the processor? How much RAM and gigs? I was thinking a 3GB hard drive and then getting like 350 for memory. Forgive me if my numbers are wrong....I am not an expert by any means (which is why I came here). You guys have been great! Thanks!

Well I think you mean 3 GB of RAM and 350 GB of Hard drive?

Anyway, if I were to configure a studio 17 I would go with:
    SYSTEM COLOR Jet Black
    PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista® Ultimate Edition SP1
DISPLAY Glossy widescreen 17.0 inch display (1440x900)
VIDEO CARD 256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3650
MEMORY 3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2
HARD DRIVE Size: 250GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
OPTICAL DRIVE 8X Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
WIRELESS NETWORK CARDS Dell 1510 Wireless-N Card
INTEGRATED WEBCAM Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
BATTERY OPTIONS 85Whr Lithium Ion Battery (9 cell)
SOUND OPTIONS High Definition Audio 2.0
FINGER PRINT READER Integrated Finger Print Reader
    KEYBOARD Back-lit Keyboard

Also, please tell us your budget that would be helpful. :)

I would recommend getting a WLED display (its 50 dollars more I think) as it will save you a great deal of battery power and I agree with shoelace_510, go with a Wireless-N card as that will soon be the standard.
