I don't know about anyone else, but it looks like I'm the first to get delayed to October

 

Did they give you a reason?

 

"We are experiencing an unexpected delay and have adjusted the estimated ship date." I will probably check it out in chat later tonight, in class right now.

 

My ship date got changed to October 4th on Aug 31.

I ordered on 8/30, currently In Production with an ESD of 10/1. No delays yet, too soon to tell, but I'm hoping that there won't be too many issues.

That would not surprise me. I know Sager pulled it's T7300 from at least the 2090's (and probably their other models as well, I haven't checked). I might end up canceling this Inspiron and going with the 2090 w/ the T7500. It only costs like $15 more then the configuration I was looking at with the T7300 a few weeks ago. The only reason I went with the 1520 was because of the $325 coupon that was available when I ordered it.

Umm... I'm confused. My online status says "shipped." I don't really see how this is possible... I did order the T7500, so that might help, but still, this is fast! I got the wxga+, so I thought that might take a while. And I was looking forward to complaining and getting compensation Just kidding, I'd much rather have it get here quickly. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that this is true!

Edit: Received my DHL tracking number, so it appears to be true.

True, however there are quite a few Latitude delays as well. Not as many, you're right. Good luck to all of you still waiting, frankly, I don't know what's wrong with Dell. It's getting ridiculous.

 

I'm delayed until Oct 5th. T7300 is probably the hold up indeed.

 

Probably also the color. On Dell's website it has Yellow as one of the "may delay your order" for the 1720.

 

The least popular color and it has a delay....imagine that. There were no delays listed on anything when i ordered, but $%^$ happens. Oh well, it's just a computer.

I know it sucks to be dell right now having so many orders they can't fulfill, and I can't blame them entirely, but I would feel a lot better if this was a pre-order of something that hasn't been launched yet, instead of releasing it and not being able to fill even half of the orders...but still I will wait

 

Well Pink is also up there as one of the least ordered colors... so I'm in there with u Sunny Ones...

 

Ordered mine a couple days ago and just got in to see my ESD: 03/10/07 *cringe* but I guess I can't complain, some of you have been waiting for weeks already. Good luck!

 

With orders placed lately, they seem to get delivered quicker, so you'll probably end up getting your notebook before that date. Mine wasn't due to ship until the 27th and it shipped this morning. Too bad DHL doesn't ship ground on weekends Hopefully I get it Monday or Tuesday, though!

OMG! After 6 long weeks of hearing my notebook is in the build stage, I've gone into testing today. Happy happy joy joy! :smile: Maybe I'll even get it before my October ESD.
How long does testing usually last?

i ordered a dell precision m90 yesterday and its suppposed to ship on 10-8-07.. anyone know if there are delays on the precisions too? and do you guys think since i ordered through a buisness account that it will ship sooner?

 

I have an order date of 7/30 and I just got pushed back to 10/15/07.

 

Same here, order date 07/31 but the only CSR who appeared frank was saying that 10/01 is unrealistic so I'll probably join the 10/15 or even 11/xx club sometime soon.

 

Still Holding on at 10/5....not even sure how many days it has been yet

 

Mine has now been delayed to the 10/05 ....
They lied to me yesterday , as the woman said everything was going smoothly and i was on schedule to get it on thurs

How come your EDD is 15th? I thought Dell only delivers Monday-Friday?

 

Wow! ESD was October 3rd, but it shipped on September 15th!

Tho... That's a Saturday, I don't think they ship/deliver anywhere in Canada on the weekends

Watch this:

European orders have 5 weeks as ESD Standard.

I have ordered on 19.sept and ESD is the 29.oct.

 

On 9/10/07 they changed my ESD to 10/15/07. But I just received it yesterday. So hopefully they're catching up.

 

im happily moving out of this thread now , cause im getting mine tuesday! its going to get to me about 10 days before the 2nd EDD!

 

Going nuts. You can't any status details whatsoever when you're in Canada, nor can any of the CSR's do anything for you or tell you anything no matter how much they like you and want to... lol.

Oh well, I knew it'd be a month wait, I just didn't realize that a month would be THIS long
