Did you check your order status online or call the automated phone number? The online order status doesn't give the stage of production. The automated phone number says what stage of production it's in like "build" or "testing."

The problem is, you really don't know from the online site. In production could mean build, or testing/boxing.

Go talk to the Dell online representative for canadians and ask for the current status of your laptop. Ask specifically what step of "In Production" your laptop is in. That's what I have been doing.

Mine went into the boxing stage today according to the Dell's automated number. The website however still say's 'in production'. Ship date has yet to change from the day I placed the order.

Easy question that must require some convoluted answer ;-)
Does it really take a week to box a computer?
